Future of the School

FaceBook  Twitter

From September 2014, boys enrolling in the St. John of God Primary School will be able to complete their education, from Junior Infants through to 6th Class, in this school.

The outmoded process by which boys had to leave the Faythe School at the end of 3rd Class will now cease and boys enrolled here as Infants will be able to complete their primary education in a co-educational setting that reflects society.

The BOM acknowledge the role played in this monumental change by Bishop Denis Brennan and Minister Ruairi Quinn. A special word of thanks go to Minister Brendan Howlin, Cllr. George Lawlor and Fr. Jim Fegan , Adm. Wexford Parish, for 'their behind the scenes work' in helping to have this decision made before the end of the current school year.

A Common Enrolment Procedure will apply for enrolment to St. John of God Primary School, The Faythe, CBS Primary and the Mercy. Completed Application Forms for the School Year 2014 - 15 are requested to be returned to the school by 3pm Friday 1st November 2013.
