The last term of the 2018/19 school year got off to a great start today with the news, conveyed to Ms. Gahan, that the Amber Flag for 'promoting positive mental health' at the school has been awarded.

The citation, shown below, is a huge validation of the hard work undertaken by the school's Amber Flag Committee made up of students - Monica Baupkute, Dylan Brady, Belle Flynn O'Connor, Romy Furlong, Stephen Howlin, Jowin Jose, Marionne Nanud, Ava Murphy, Rachel Nolan, Rebecca Nolan, Emma Siggins and Sophie Tyrrell working with adults Ms. Forde, Ms. Murphy, Ms. Mullins, Ms. O'Loughlin, Ms. Kelly and Liz O'Brien all under the co-ordination of Ms. Gahan.....more to follow........

Dear Amber Flag team in St John of God Primary School,

We at Pieta House are delighted to inform you that your school has been awarded with an Amber Flag this year. We would like to thank the Amber Flag Committee for their commitment and dedication to promoting Positive Mental Health in your school this year.

As you know in order to receive a Pieta House Amber Flag you had to set and achieve goals throughout the year and our team found your application to be an outstanding initiative promoting positive mental health. We are truly overwhelmed with the amazing initiatives being run in schools this year and you are all truly a credit to your school.
