On Wednesday 26th June a simple ceremony was held in the school to bid 'good-bye' to our 6th Class - The St. John of God School Class of 2019. Earlier the same day at the 'End of Year School Mass' Fr. Cullen had thanked the class and wished them well on behalf of the wider Faythe School community. However the 'night ceremony' was a more intimate affair where all who had helped the children at any stage from 2011 met with the 'significant adults' in their lives for the last 'formal occasion.

The class reminisced about their most memorable moments before they sang a song. The ever supportive Parents' Association made a lovely presentation to 6th Class teacher, Mr. James Murphy, of a personalised piece of Art created by all the class while SNA for 2018-19, Joy Wall received a beautiful bouquet. (They also provided refreshments later too!!!)

Compressing eight years of school life into an eight minute film isn’t easy nor does it even begin to acknowledge or record every achievement of the Class of 2019.

Towards the end of the film there is a slide where many of those who have helped the children on their way are ‘thanked’ and any omissions are not done maliciously.

You are asked to pay particular attention to this slide as hopefully acknowledges the team that makes the Faythe school what it is on a daily basis and it is hoped it will serve as a fitting memento of the journey the children shared in the Faythe.
